Job Role: Stores Person

Location: Leicester, LE4

Pay Rate: £11-£12 per hour

Type: Full-time, permanent

Monday to Friday, 08.00 till 04.00, with overtime working as required.

Working for a materials handling equipment manufacturing company, the Packing & Desptach Operarative will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately fulfilled within scheduled timeframes. Duties will include:

• Locating the correct goods as per customer orders

• Using warehouse machinery to move goods from storage areas to packing bay

• Inspecting goods for quality prior to packing

• Packing goods to both UK and export standards using suitable packing materials

• Manufacture of bespoke wooden pallets for heavy items

• Loading/unloading packaged goods onto/from road transport and/or shipping containers

• Coordinating UK hauliers and liaising with our commercial section for export projects

• Completing paperwork, and entering shipping transactions into our management systems

• Following health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

You will be computer literate, hold a current clean UK driving licence, counterbalance forklift licence and be familiar with use of lifting equipment.
