Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Shift: 6am to 2.30pm, Mon to Thurs, 11.30am finish on Friday. (37.5 hours a week.)

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: £43,693.55

The Company:

A well established precision engineering company within the aerospace industry.

The Role:

  • To ensure all manufacturing machinery and site services are maintained both electrically and mechanically

  • To respond to breakdowns in priority order

  • Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during shift or brief subsequent shift on issue, cause and recommended solution

  • To record breakdown and task information on completion of repair or improvement using Piranha system

  • To undertake servicing of machines and ancillary equipment

  • To carry out facility repairs and maintenance

  • To source and obtain parts and materials as required

  • To maintain the relevant stock levels of spares and consumables reviewing and updating the register

  • To ensure the correct tools and equipment are available to carry out the tasks and repairs

  • To ensure 5S standards are maintained in the maintenance workshop at all times

  • To ensure all work is carried out to relevant legislation and EHS standards

  • To support the efficiency improvements through engagement of ABS methodology & deployment

  • To undertake improvement activities that enable efficiency improvements to the plant

  • To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards

The Candidate:

  • Experience of working within busy Manufacturing environment.

  • Experience operating Machines would be advantageous.

  • Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Communicates effectively with fellow team members.
