The Role

The Internal Sales Engineer role is responsible for actively driving and managing the 'application evaluation' process which is applications for the clients products within the electrical resistor industry. The role of the Internal Sales Engineer would act as a go-between Customers and the Engineering teams, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of resistor products.

You would be responsible for building close relationships with existing customers and dealing with technical sales enquiries, producing accurate and competitive quotes and being able to provide solutions.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Processing customer enquiries such as initial customer contact via telephone, email and face to face

• Managing and understanding customer requirements

• Producing designs, quotations and tenders in a timely manner

• Provide pre-sales technical expertise

• Ensuring orders are processed quickly and accurately

• Maintaining up to date records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer activity

• Pursue new business opportunities

• Building relationships with customers and potential customers to understand their requirements

The Candidate:

• It is essential that you have HNC in electrical engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Problem solving approach

• Strong technical mindset and able to interpret technical data

• Good IT Skills, organisational skills and an eye for detail
