Job Title: French Speaking Field Service Engineer

Location: South Region (Bristol, London, Southampton)

Salary: circa £35k + car

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The Role

Du to internal growth my client is looking for a French Speaking Field Service Engineer based in the South to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Installing and commissioning, servicing and repairing CNC plasma, oxyfuel and laser cutting machines and filters

• Providing high quality machine training to customers

• Rigorous fault finding, using first principles, hereby avoiding repeat visits

• You're actively driving knowledge sharing to improve the overall service team

• You're responsible for selling spare parts during machine services and you'll need to be able to explain why a certain spare part is needed

• Recommending and promoting service contracts; ability to explain to a customer what the benefits are, and communicating back to the office about the outcome of the conversations

• Delivering against key support performance metrics such as quality and customer satisfaction

• Support the British, Irish and French organisation with installations and breakdowns if required

The Candidate

• HND in Electrical, yet also be mechanically proficient

• Ability to work from first principles

• A passion for delivering first-class customer experience; you go the extra mile to get customers up and running again

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in installing and servicing industrial machines

• You are electrically/control systems biased (60%) vs mechanical (40%), i.e. ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; PC literate, comfortable working with MS Office suite

• Hyper-organized and strong attention to detail

• Willingness to travel extensively; mainly all over the South of UK, but also to Republic of Ireland, Scotland, England, France

• You've got a growth mentality - eager to learn, ready to throw yourself on new things

• Honest and Punctual

• Full, Clean Driving Licence
