The Role

Reporting to the CEO this positions primary responsibility is to ensure relevant quality standards are in place for the business and employees, and that operational procedures meet these standards.

You will be responsible for a small team driving transformation and embedding a continuous improvement culture within the business..

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for devising and establishing the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications.

  • Use initiative and judgment to ensure and assure continued compliance to customers' requirements.

  • Full responsibility for all aspects of QMS and compliance to customer, industry and regulatory requirements ISO 9001, ISO14001.

  • Lead the development and implementation of short, medium and long term objectives with respect to product assurance and quality.

  • Develop a 'zero defect' mindset to the manufacturing processes.

  • Continually look to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports, reporting at board level as required.

  • Driving a 'right first time' programme across the facility that ensures improvement across all processes.

  • Making suggestions for change and improvements and how to implement them.

  • Using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business.

  • Lead Quality based training and development.

  • Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met and followed.

  • Following and adhering to company policy and procedure.

  • Managing and developing the Quality team.

The Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a successful quality leader within a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with positive, enthusiastic approach to eliminating issues and providing long term solutions.

  • Must be an excellent collaborator working closely with peer group.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals on a one-to-one basis as well as being able to deliver briefings, workshops and training.
